Call for Papers

The Workshop on Communication Security (WCS 2014) will be held in Ancona, Italy, Thursday and Friday, September 11-12, 2014. It will be a chance to disseminate research results on physical and data link security topics among scientists and practitioners, as well as to foster interaction and fertilization among experts working in these fields.

WCS 2014 will feature invited talks by Holger Boche, Eduard Jorswieck, Joachim Rosenthal, and Massimiliano Sala on cutting-edge physical layer security topics and cryptographic techniques.

Previously unpublished contributions on the following topics are solicited for oral presentation.

• Information Theoretic Security
• Physical Layer Security
• Secure Cross-Layer Design Techniques
• MIMO and Cooperative Secure Communications
• Secret Key Agreement and Distillation
• Applications of Coding Theory in Security and Cryptography
• Information Security for Distributed Systems
• Security Case Studies and Experimental Test-beds

Prospective authors are invited to submit a two-page abstract (12pt font, double space lines) for peer-review through Easychair (https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=wcs2014) by June 8, 2014 June 22, 2014 (extended).

A template of the two-page abstract is provided here in PDF and Latex.

All papers will be reviewed by members of the technical program committee, and selected for oral presentation.

After the workshop, the authors of accepted contributions will have the chance to provide a chapter for a contributed book to be submitted for publication in a Springer series (probably LNCS).
